Garnet grains are the most used in
natural blasting and cutting system.
Being the heaviest and most resilient
garnet, it can stand higher cutting
speeds and maintain low dust levels.
Its intrinsic physical and chemical
homogeny assures superior
functioning.
Walnut Shells
Walnut shell abrasive is used to
blast clean and polish soft metals, fiberglass,
wood, plastics and stone. It works as a
deburring and deflashing product for moldings,
castings, and electrical parts. It is an efficient
soft abrasive when used to tumble and polish
gun casings, jewelry, ink pens and metal
parts-and can also be used to prepare
surfaces and equipment for painting.
Corn cob grit is an environmentally safe,
smooth
flowing abrasive made from the hard woody
ring of the
cob. It is used primarily as a tumbling and
vibratory
media to absorb dirt and oils and to dry parts,
without
affecting the surface of the parts. Corn cob grit
is also
a safe blasting media for delicate parts.
Corn Cob
Glass Beads
Glass beads are manufactured from lead-free,
soda lime-type glass, containing no free silica
that is made into preformed ball shapes. Glass
beads produce a much smoother and brighter
finish than angular abrasives. Glass beads can
be recycled approximately 30 times.
Soda Blast
Steel Grit
Soda blasting is a process in which a
specially formulated blast media,
SodaClean Maintenance Plus , serves
as a mild abrasive that removes or
etches paint, or works for cleaning all
varieties of equipment, when applied
with the SodaBlaster, a pressurized
machine.
Excellent cleaning power and efficiency
when used in automatic equipment.
Not economical unless recycled and
cleaned for re-use. Use grit for tough
jobs and shot otherwise. Tempered
and malleable types breakdown less
rapidly. All types have low dust and are
available in a variety of grades
